Hi everyone! Just to let you know I am on vacation for two weeks starting from today. I may be able to update, but this depends on internet cafes etc that may or may not be available to me.
See you all soon!
I have added some photos from a photoshoot Tom has done for the record company Six String Productions and you can see those here. Also Tom is featured in the September 2010 issue of Attitude magazine and you can see the interview and the new photoshoot here.
rupertgrint.net have scans from this weeks Entertainment Weekly and 1 new photo does feature Tom as Draco Malfoy among the other Deatheaters at Malfoy Manor, presumably from the beginning of the film.
Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potterfilms, says he has begun filming Rise of the Apes, a prequel to the popular Planet of the Apes sci-fi movies, and also finished shooting a movie with Twilight‘s Ashley Greene.
“I’ve just started shooting Caesar, Rise of the Apes, which is the Planet of the Apes prequel, which I’m mega, mega excited about,” Felton said. “It’s a project that I’ve been really passionate about for a long time.”
Rise of the Apes stars Freida Pinto, James Franco and John Lithgow and is scheduled for release on June 24, 2011. The film is set in modern times in San Francisco and shows the consequences of human experimentation with genetic engineering – increased intelligence in apes, which brings forth the threat of a power struggle.
Pinto, a 25-year-old Indian actress best known for her role in the 2008 Oscar-winning movieSlumdog Millionaire, will play a primatologist and Franco a scientist, while Lithgow, of the sci-fi series Third Rock from the Sun and recently, Dexter, will reportedly play his father.
The original 1968 Planet of the Apes film starred the late Charlton Heston and quickly became a cult classic and spurred several sequels. A remake featuring Mark Wahlberg was released in 2001 but receive mixed reviews.
Felton, 22, also recently filmed a movie called The Apparition with Ashley Greene, who portrayed the vampire Alice Cullen in the Twilight films. Felton said the project was “a kind of science thriller with an ounce of horror.” The Apparition is set for release on September 9.

I have added 2 photo shoots to the gallery, one from The Sun taken this year and the Daniel Lewis photo shoot from 2009.
Actors Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton are said to be attending the opening of artist Lizzie Mary Cullen’s charity exhibit this September, which will benefit the Big Issue, “the social enterprise, magazine and charity that helps homeless people in Britain earn a legitimate income and help themselves.”
When we get more info on the event we will post it here.
Entertainment Weekly just mentioning Tom’s new movie role:
Felton, meanwhile, will be putting his Care of Magical Creatures skills to good use in Fox’s Rise of the Apes. The actor will play the son of Brian Cox’s character, who has been described as “the villainous owner of a primate sanctuary who runs the facility without compassion for the animals that live there.” Between Draco Malfoy and this, it’s beginning to look like Felton may be one of those actors who’s destined to always play the bad guy (or at least the son of a bad guy), but don’t get me wrong — that’s not a bad thing. Felton has shown that he can make evil characters a whole lot of fun to watch.
‘Harry Potter’ actor Tom Felton has landed a record deal with indie label Six Strings Productions.
‘Harry Potter’ star Tom Felton has landed a record deal.
The 22-year-old actor – who played Draco Malfoy in the wizard film franchise – has signed to indie label Six Strings Productions to produce an album, which he will write, play and sing himself.
The label’s twitter page confirmed: “Tom Felton has signed and the album is very much on its way.”
Tom – who won an MTV Movie Award for Best Villain for his portrayal of evil Malfoy in ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ – revealed he began making music with friends as a hobby, before realising the tracks they were laying down were “quite credible”.
He said: “I’m a keen musician. Me and my mates have a great times jamming and recording stuff. We have a great band behind us and have turned my nursery-rhyme songs into quite credible pieces of music.
“But you definitely won’t see me on the broomstick with a guitar.”
Tom isn’t the only musical member of the ‘Harry Potter’ cast.
Robert Pattinson – who played Cedric Diggory in ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ – recorded tracks for the ‘Twilight Saga’ soundtrack, while Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the titular boy wizard recently confessed to a love of karaoke.
He said: “I love karaoke. I am one of those people who says, ‘No, no, I can’t, I couldn’t possibly, no I won’t… all right, give me the mic!’ And then I’m elbowing other people out of the way to get to the stage.”
Speaking about a recent karaoke night, he added: “I sang Elvis Presley’s Hound Dog. That, and then I did ‘Feeling Good’ by Muse. That was my proudest moment, because I actually did that rather well. I was really pleased, because I can sing.
“I’ve been having singing lessons for two and a half years. I’m not amazing, obviously, but I’m all right.”
