Tom Felton speaks with the ease of those who have been under the scrutiny of the media for a very long time. But his case is a strange one; he has been in this position since he was twelve. It is amazing that he has not become tired of speaking about Harry Potter after ten years of not only playing Potter’s nemesis, Draco Malfoy, but also being interviewed, quizzed and bothered about it.
”It was always good fun”, he says, when asked if playing such a dark character from such an early age ever posed a challenge, “What twelve year old wouldn’t want to play an evil wizard? I’m pretty sure it’s in every kid out there, I’ve always enjoyed it. I’d rather play a character that was really, really different to me as to someone who is quite close to my character. And Draco is really, really different.”
“It’s weird when you take out the wizard part and in the real world and people call you Draco, I find that bizarre. But it’s cool, I’ve learned to deal with that over the years. If young children boo me, that makes my day. I must’ve done something good if these kids are terrified.”
Felton’s story is a happy one; at 23 he is world famous and can probably take his pick of characters now he is free from the Potter franchise. But the end to Draco’s story in the last movie is different and Felton can’t help but sympathize with his character of ten years.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Breaks Box Office Records
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 not only set a box office record for midnight showings, it absolutely shattered opening day box office records.
The film grossed a jaw-dropping $92.1 million in the U.S. on Friday. That’s not only the biggest opening-day draw of all time, it’s the highest-grossing single day in U.S. box office history.
Worldwide, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is also breaking box office records. The film has already grossed more than $157.5 million internationally, breaking opening-day records in the UK and Mexico.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Sets Midnight Box Office Record
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 took in $43.5 million at the midnight box office in North America — the biggest midnight opening of all time. Potter earned almost 50% more than previous midnight champion, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which earned $30 million from midnight shows when it was released in June 2010.
The Harry Potter franchise is estimated to be the most profitable film franchise of ever. As The Hollywood Reporter notes, the eighth and final film has already grossed more than $100 million at the worldwide box office. If momentum keeps rising, this may be the biggest worldwide opening of all time.

Two new stills are out featuring Tom from Harry Potter, I’ve added both along with a poster. It’s hard to believe Harry Potter is coming to an end soon, I’m going to miss it! At least we have Pottermore.

Tom Felton among ‘Harry Potter’ actors to sit down on CNN
In anticipation of the final chapter of the beloved Harry Potter franchise, Larry King will host a one-hour special with the cast.
Set to air July 10 at 8 and 11 p.m. ET, King will sit down with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Helena Bonham Carter and Robbie Coltrane. The network will also air never before seen footage from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film.
The British actor plays Harry Potter’s arch nemesis Draco Malfoy in the hugely successful fantasy film series.
The 23-year-old star admits his cunning character brings out different emotions from fans, depending on their age.
“Reactions vary. I get some extremely excited 12-year-olds, but I seem to scare the eight-and-unders,” he explained in an interview with Teen Vogue. “I’ve seen a couple of kids… well, I’m not going to say reduced to tears, but certainly on the verge, hiding behind their parents’ legs.”
Tom has learned to accept the fact that he gets varied reactions from Harry Potter fans. However, the blonde-haired star says the fact that people are wary of him means he must be doing a good job as a villain in the movies.
“I’ve learned to take it as a compliment. I must be doing something right if they don’t want to come anywhere near me,” he added.
